OMG! I can't believe that in 13 hours, I am going to be at Palms of Pasadena, getting ready for my surgery. I am excited, nervous, happy... and also very subdued. I don't think I have ever lived a longer day in my life... the hours have crept by, taunting me! I have received so many supportive phone calls from family and friends. They have made me feel loved and cared about, and I can't thank them enough for that. I'm so excited, so ready for this life changing experience. Wish me luck!

P.S. The Optifast got better after the first week.

Well, yesterday was my first day on Optifast and I can honestly say it has been the most miserable 36 hours I have had in a very long time. So far I have been tired and weak and dizzy, I have had a 24-hour migraine, and threw up 3 times last night. But I guess that goes to show how much sugar and bad food I truly was putting into my body. I am going through withdraws! Isn't that horrible? I guess I know it'll all be worth it in the end, but right now... I'm miserable.
