Hi, my name is Linnet and I am your typical South Texas 29 yr old .. oh except I'm a bit on the fluffy side!! I have always been the "big boned" fluffy sister of the family, however back in the day I was a bit more toned. All through high school I weighed 130 lbs and wore a size 14 jr jeans and size large shirts. After high school however, at the age of 20 I got pregnant and had a miscarriage at 3 months. I requested to be placed on birth control and my doctor recommended the depo shot.. this is when I THINK my body went PSYCHO on me. I gained so much weight and went up to a size 16 W.. I hated it.. eventually I went to a size 20!!! .. I have maintained now a size 18 at least for the past year.. I have lost 15 pounds on my own, with a little help of some supplements but after 15 pounds down.. thats it, the scale and my body wont budge any more. I was diagnosed with PCOS about three years ago, and I know that is one of the reasons that it is so hard for me to lose weight.. shooot I look at a piece of bread or pasta and I gain 5 pounds.. ja ja !!
Anyway, I am ready for a life change and am considering the VSG procedure. I am fortunate enough to live about 45 minutes away from one of the most recommended Drs for this procedure. DR Alvarez from Piedras Negras. However I'm trying to research everything possible before going through with the procedure. (I did the same thing with Lasik surgery and have done the same for all supplements that I take). If anyone has gone through this procedure, I would like your input. I have questions about the pre-op, the procedure itself, and life after it. Most importantly for me at this point THE FINANCING of it!!
