Well, where do I begin. I had my surgery almost a year ago, I went thru a rough six weeks, regretted my decision, everything you could imagine my mind went thru. Once everything started returning to normal all my feelings of wanting to get the surgery reversed went away!! This week will be my year mark. My last doctor visit with my surgeon is tomorrow!!! YAY. I'm down about 95 lbs. I'm wearing clothes in sizes I never dreamed possible. I feel great. I can move in ways I couldn't before, sit comfortably in chairs, hike my leg up.........LOL Cross my legs, that is a good feeling. Most of all or I should say most importantly, I can walk long distances without getting winded. That feels the best.
I only had one problem and had to go back in for emergency surgery. My intestines twisted and caused a hernia. The recovery was just like after the surgery, it wasn't too bad, but I had to get cut after I had just got the scars small enough from my lap to where you couldn't see them. The scar isn't real bad though, I put Maderma on it faithfully and it looks pretty good. Dr. Kaderabek is really impressed with that and how I look now. The extra skin wasn't a huge problem either. I was really glad about that. I'm off to bed now for work in the morning.
Good luck to all that are about to embark on this journey, it can be a rough ride, but in the end it's all worth the better health!!

Well, it's 8:26 pm and my surgery is scheduled for 1:00 pm tomorrow afternoon. The butterflies are kicking in and I don't like that feeling to much. My stomach is growling, I had to watch my family eat dinner without me, but I have to go through this in order to begin my new journey. My mom, and my friend from work will be there waiting, I wish my fiance could be there but he can't be. This is something that will give me a whole new outlook on life. I'm tired of hiding my body with big clothes, I'm ready for the moment I can put clothes on and not tug on them. Well, I will post more when I get home, that is if i remember. : ) Thanks for reading!!

Well, I'm now down to my two week mark once again, hopefully I won't get another phone call saying they have to re-schedule. I started my breathing spriometer back up today and went and bought all my travel size toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc.... I'm getting so excited. I guess I'll be a recovery patient for halloween. : ) I'm hoping I'll be home on halloween to take my daughter out and I hope I'm able to walk far enough with her. I'll post more later.

I received a phone call on August 31st saying that there was a conflict with the assistant sugeon and they had to re-schedule my surgery. I was thinking maybe a week or two but was told "the soonest we could get you in is October 27th" talk about taking my mood down a few levels. I know things happen for a reason, so I'll just look at this as it just wasn't my time for surgery. Now they are saying I "might" have to have my blood work re-done.

It's been a while since my last post, I've been in the waiting period. I had my pre-op class on August 4th, there was ALOT of helpful information there. I took plenty of notes. My pre-op testing was completed on August 28th. They said all my results were great and I should be ok when I have my surgery.

My pre-op class is scheduled for August 4th, I'm kind of anxious for all this information to begin getting my mind going in the right direction on my eating. I hear it will be a long class, but I am prepared. I am waiting to hear when my testing will be.
