Joined the losers bench!
Nov 09, 2008
My story is not unlike most others, so I`ll try to give you the cliffs notes. I was always athletic, played sports, loved life. I gained 25 lbs when I got married, too much loving being married on the couch with popcorn and hubby. I soon got pregnant and miscarried, felt sorry for myself and consoled with food...which I had always done but it doesn`t really matter if you are extremely active, it does when you are sitting in an office all day, and at home all night. Once I reached 200 lbs I figured that I was destined to be heavy and stopped watching the scale. I had a total of 5 pregnancies which resulted with two great little boys (6 and 8). Little clue that I am an emotial eater...I`ve gained more weight with each miscarraige then with each pregancy. In the last 8 years I have lost more weight then I currently weigh, and have had great success with a wide variety of diets..except that I gain the weight back as soon as something comes up! When I made the decision for WLS I thought I weighed 260, I was shocked when the doctor said it was 276. I am currently at 249 (yeah!) and have made the decision to be the healthiest version of myself that I can...and am looking forward to playing sports and being more active again!
