I'm obviously not very good at blogging

So it's been 3 days since I first wrote. I'm promising myself to try and do better! Been concentrating on drinking more water, less soda, less caffeine, and less alcohol. I've cut back on my portions and I'm trying to eat healthier foods. I have 3 weeks left, and I realize I really don't HAVE to start doing all this preop stuff till next week. But I decided to start a little early. None of what I've listed will hurt me a bit, so why not start now right? I normally take about 1600+ mg of ibuprofen daily. 2 days ago I decided to try to cut back to little or no ibuprofen......2 days ago, I took 400mg and this evening I broke down and took 400mg. All in all, I'm feeling pretty good about cutting back on the ibuprofen (and working through a LOT of joint pain!) 

Today my hubby and I went to the store and bought my high protein menus for the next week. We also got a few protein shakes, and I ordered more bars and shakes online tonight. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty stoked about this healthier eating plan. I'm soooo sick of over eating and acid reflux and upset stomach and just plain being miserable! I can't wait to be on that loser's bench.

First day of journalling before WLS

Well, today I finally looked at the calendar and realized just how CLOSE my surgery date is! OMG I have 27 days till WLS! I've been practicing sip sip sip and chew chew chew for about a week now. Sipping isn't going so well, sure glad I've got more time to practice that. Yesterday I ate 2 breakfast burritos and a large coke from mcdonald's for breakfast. For lunch I had a bottle of water, about 4 tablespoons of hummus, about 6 pita chips and a handful of cherry tomatoes and red pepper sticks. OH and about 5 or 6 kalamata olives :) I drank more water on my way home. Last night we made hamburger, milnot and amish noodles (egg noodles), I ate a medium bowl of that and drank 2 gin & tonics. Then I had some pepsi and took a glass of water to bed with me.

Today I had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and a large coke for breakfast. At lunch time, the girls from the office got subway. I had a 6 inch flat bread with roast beef and provolone. Of course I opened a new pepsi and I've had about 4 drinks of it. Now I'm sitting here at my desk with horrible heartburn, typing, and wondering why on earth I have heartburn. Well, DUH! More later!
