I'm starting to REGRET!!!

Sep 27, 2008

One month later and I'm still sick :-(  It's hard for me to keep liquids and food down.  I am one of the few that did not have a great recovery.

Two days after surgery, I had to go back into surgery for infection.  I've been in and out of the hospital for the past month due to complications.  I hope and pray that no one experience what I am going through.

I am starting to REGRET this whole procedure.  Is there anyone out there that had complications?  If so, how long did it take you to recover?

2 weeks and 2 days to go...

Aug 13, 2008

Okay, I'm so excited, I think I should invest stock in Amazon, because I purchased so much stuff from them.  I bought, ZOIC Protein drinks, Slim Fast, Special K waters, Protein bars, Biotin, vitamins, Fiber One (lol), the list goes on.

I met my Sleeve Sister and she is AWESOME!!!  I'm adopting her to be my little sister *wink*.

I think I pretty much have everything ready and I'm all set to roll.  If anyone have any last minute suggestions, please let me know... If not, just please keep me in your prayers.

Thanks and God Bless,

N Marie!!!

I'm doing an MS Walk in honor of my MOM!!!!

Aug 11, 2008

The National MS Society is kicking off the 21st Annual Walk MS: Phoenix Walk on the Wild Side on November 8, 2008. I am planning to be a part of this event and I am asking you to join me as I move towards a cure for Multiple Sclerosis by making a contribution to support my effort.

I’m walking in honor of my mother, Cynthia Jeanne Brown, also known as my “Tip”, which passed away on January 22, 2008 from complications of this horrible disease.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of MS.  They simultaneously fund research for a cure while also helping people who currently live with MS lead more fulfilling lives.

The name of my Team is “Tip’s Angel’s”, since we are walking in honor of my mom!!  We are driving to Phoenix, AZ from California on November 8th, with hopes to make a change in someone’s life. Please help by making a donation - large or small - to my personal Walk MS page. http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Walk/AZAWalkEvents?px=5358185&pg=personal&fr_id=9502

Whatever you can give will help! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.

Thanks,

N Marie!!

3 weeks to go!!!

Aug 09, 2008

I have 3 weeks to go... I am not nervous or scared... Just very excited and ready to get this over with.  I'm ready to be thin and in a bathing suit (for next summer... lol).  I want that BEACH BODY!!!

No one knows I'm doing this other than my husband and my best friend.  My hubby is being very supportive.  I haven't told anyone else because I don't want to hear any negative feedback.

I only told my husband just in case I get lost in Mexico (lol)... he'll know where I am.  I really didn't want to tell him, because I didn't want him to think of me as a failure and unable to do it on my own.  But so far, he's being really supportive and understanding.  I only slipped and told my best friend on accident, but oh well, she knows now.  However, they are the only two that knows.

So, I have the plane tickets (had them for over a month), I have all the instructions and I'm ready to go.  Anyone that recently had it done, please tell me what the first week is like.  I am having surgery on Friday and will have to be back to work on Tuesday.  Let me know if that's manageable!!
I'll be reporting updates periodically.  I will try to do it weekly for the first month and monthly until I reach my goal weigh of 120 and a size 7!!!

Talk to you soon.. Ciao!!!
