"Wow when I first met with Dr Vaimakis I was really impressed with her level of understanding obesity and the obsity patient. She took time to discuss the whole procedure on my first visit, which she did not charge me for and also agreed at that time to monitor my weight for six or seven months that my insurance company needed prior to authorizing my surgery. I was then even more impressed with her when I went to the lap band/RNY Seminar that was held in January and she was not fazed at all by crying jumping children as she explained the procedure. I would have not handled that as well, but she was a professional down to the end. Thats when I finalized my decision to have the surgery. Her staff, Stella, Lellie and Sandra are all great assets. They do all they can for the patient and all reachable when needed. I have been working with physicians/surgeons for the last 22 years and I know what good bedside manner is and what makes a doctor great and Dr Vaimakis is definitely been the epitome of all those things.Her office staff is great and you can tell they have great confidence in Dr Vaimakis. They are excellent and I highly recommend Dr Vaimakis to anyone that would ask about my surgical experience."
