I looked on the internet at BCBS IL and found out I do not need the 3 to 5 years of medical history..I only have to do the six moth supervised diet. OMG I wanna scream but I cant because I am work..lol Its funny how that made me so happy. I have the biggest stupid smile on my face.
This is something Ive been thinking about for so long now and it is almost in my reach. I just wish I could be on the other side already. There are so many things I want to do but this fat suit I am in stops me be it lack of confidence or just the weight itself. I am scared sh**less of this but in a good way.

I just had my first Dr. apt yesterday to start my six month diet and the slue of other appts I need to get done. I was looking into The Sleeve but found the Hospital I will be using doesnt do The Sleeve they only do Lap-Band and Gastric Bypass. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with either one of those its just I had really been looking towards The Sleeve. I know I dont want the Lap-Band soooo Roux-en-Y here I come!
I am so happy to think that by this time next year all this will be a memory and hopefully I will have had my new b-day. The only thing that is messing with my mind is that I do not have the required 3 to 5 years of documented weight. I have heard that there are ways around that but I will be crushed if I go through all this and cant get it because I have not had a PCP since I was a child.
Has anyone else been in this situation? I would feed back as I have been lurking around the boards for the last six months just reading everything.
