"My first impression of Dr. Provost is that he's not got much of a bedside manner, as many have commented. However, I was not looking for a buddy or a friend, I was looking for excellent surgical skills, which I found. Through my surgery and now two fills, I have found that his bedside manner improves over time. He's also been very complementary regarding my success thus far. Dr. Provost is a big proponent of aftercare. He quizzed me about eating habits and exercise like a drill sergeant. I felt that Dr. Provost adequately addressed the risks of the surgery. I came armed with my list of questions and concerns and he addressed most of them before I had to ask a single thing. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with Dr. Provost and his staff. They are, as some have mentioned, somewhat overwhelmed and harried, but it's not an issue to me since I'm not looking for a hand-holding from my physicians. Without question, surgical competence is more important to me than bedside manner. I believe that it's fairly common for doctors and surgeons in particular to seem a little abrupt. That doesn't bother me, since I work the same way."
