Wondering when the bloating from the IV fluid will go down.  I look fatter now than before the surgery but I know in my head that it's mostly water weight.

I was sleeved yesterday (12/26/12) and was home today by 11am.  Feeling pretty good....just really bloated from the IV fluids they gave me this morning.  Hopefully that will go down in the next few days.

I have to return to work on Jan 7th and I think I will be okay to return. 

Yesterday I met with the Doctor for the last time until I have VSG surgery.  My husband is my support person so he was with me at the visit.  Just had a few more questions that the doc answered and then met with the dietitian to go over my pre-op diet.  I'll be on a low carb (40 carbs) diet for 2 weeks before the surgery.  Most of us that are on this journey know all about low carb diets (Atkins, South Beach) so I think I can manage it.  The only problem is that I have a Las Vegas trip planned for the week before my VSG.....I'll have to steer clear of the buffets!!!!  

I kinda feel like I did before I had a baby.....I have a great "nesting" instinct.  I'm cleaning my house, getting post-op supplies (protein drinks, etc).  I guess in a way I'm giving birth to a whole new life......and I'm 10% scared but 90% excited !!

: completed required blood work (all labs were good except somewhat low Vit D.....to be expected living in the Pacific NW)

: had EKG

!!!!!!! got "THE DATE" for VSG!!!!!!!!!!    December 26th, 2012    woo hooo!!!!

just set up final visit with Dr. and dietitian

my insurance  is through Group Health and I will be a self pay since they don't consider my BMI high enough for coverage.
