I have been overweight for 17 years. My "problem" was that I didn't feel it. Then, I got sick... I started having seizures and my life came to a standstill... which meant that the weight just piled on top of what was already there. I was a mess. I couldn't do anything and the weight just kept adding up.
Then in a moment of clarity, I knew that I couldn't just stop living life and let the seizures take over (like they had been doing for over 3 years). So that's when I decided to check into the WLS. I was all about having it done... to be able to be healthy, at least physically would be a step in the right direction.
Now that the surgery is behind me and I've started loosing weight, I feel so much better about myself. Don't get me wrong, I still have the seizures, yet life has a new meaning for me. I'm planning for the future again... because I actually feel like I have one... seizures be damned!
My life is not perfect... but who's is? All I know is that I'm heading in the right direction and I'm thrilled to be on the right path!
