Paula - thank you for the post on the message board. The exciting times as a postop are incredible but I always worry about posting too much about those things as there are so many struggling for approval, etc. I am glad that it helped make you excited for your passage to better health. Your day is almost here. I remember my excitement right ahead of my time. I went to a children's concert with my toddler daughter and as I sat squeezed beyond belief in the auditorium seat, I could hardly focus on the show as I was picturing myself at this weight or that weight. Now here I am, down 115 pounds, and just in awe. I could never have done this without surgery. I'm going to go under 200 anytime now and I can hardly stand it. You'll soon be following me there! I can't wait to welcome you to the losing side. Please email me anytime you need a hug or support or an ear. I understand.

Have you ever seen the movie: THE WIZARD OF OZ??? Well, soon you will be saying what the wicked witch said when Dorothy threw a bucket of water on her: "I'M MELTING!! I'M MELTING!!!" Those lbs will just melt off of you soon. You will soon be walking down the YELLOW BRICK ROAD to see the WIZARD OF OZ and your sweetest wish will be granted. Congratulations and good luck to you. My husband and I both had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in San Diego in 2001 and have lost a combined total of 325 lbs. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep the faith and don't give up hope to have wls. I will pray that you have the best of luck with getting approval and not having to pay so much out of pocket. Don't give up on your dream. Hugs and Prayers
