"They congratulated me when I passed gas. Honestly, every time I'd have staff by and belch or fart, they cheered me on. I had nurses in every four hours for checks, and 24 hour service with the call button. Each shift change would introduce themselves to me and write their extension on a board in the room as well. They encouraged but did not nag about the walking, and I could tell they were paying attention because only when I went long one day did anyone even mention it to me. They had both broth and jello available at off times, so when I slept through a meal I did not have to feel like I was 'missing' something. Every room has a huge window, every room has a flat screen TV with cable, as well as chairs and a desk for the patient or visitors. They let my wife stay all three nights, the love seat extended to a bed, and since I like it cool in the room they brought her heated blankets at night. I was very apprehensive, my first major surgery and my first recovery, but this hospital made it so pleasant I almost look forward to breaking a bone now. ;)"
