Peggy's Post Op Fallen Angel - Hi Amos family, I just wanted to ask you all to continue sending an upbeat cheery message to Peggy - giving her all the love and encouragement she needs right now. We all know how disappointing it is to deny ourselves our favorite foods as we diet and then not be rewarded with a loss of "X" amount of pounds. Peggy it will get better - you still have fluid from the hospital soaking up your veins - I am sure at your next doctor appointment the scales will be further down - in the meantime, chase that hubby of yours around the living room a couple of times!!Luv, angel V out ~

Hi Peg! I know you're bumming right now but I wanted you to know that I had a similar experience. They had weighed me prior to leaving the hospital, in this amazing hospital bed I had. They said my weight was 234. Since I'd entered the hospital at 215, I thought they'd made a mistake. When I went into my doctor for my 3 week follow up, I was still swollen and holding fluids and I actually weighed more than I weighed the first time I visited him at 218. I was up 4 lbs! Man....talk about depressing! Well, I saw him again 3 weeks later and I'd dropped the extra weight plus all that I should have in the first place! My point is that you probably gained weight in the hospital due to all the IVs and such and you may have left the hospital heavier than you were when you went in. I bet next time you'll see a big drop. Keep the faith! Love and hugs!

Peg, you just got home yourself. Is this the example I'm supposed to follow. Glad you already feel like posting. Thank you for your prayers. Keep on getting better.

Hi Everyone, Peg's angel flying in low and hitting the skids - just heard that Peggy made it home and is resting - I will give her a couple of days before I really start bugging her (smile)but I am so happy that she came through and I know all of her little feline friends plus her hubby Sean are happy she is home - I'm right behind you babe! God bless and stay off the computer for a few more days at least - you just had Major surgery, honey ~ hugs and squeezes ~ Peg's angel out for the night ~ Venus

Hello AMOS Family! I'm home! Let's all take a deep breath and say, in unison, OUCHIE! Actually - the pain is not nearly as bad as I had expected. (thank god for those morphine pumps) The doctor kept my a couple of days longer because I had problems peeing on my own. Personally, I think it's because that bed was so darn uncomfortable my entire lower anatomy was asleep! I'm a bit bummed because I'm really swollen - I guess - even though I know better - that I was going to come out like 20 pounds lighter! Thanks so much to my wunnerful angel - Venus!!!! Love, Peg
