Once upon A Time...
... there was me! lol no just kidding My name is Haley, I go by Haley, Jae or as my mom calls me, prissy britches. I was born and raised here in the great state of texas! Of course being from texas & growing up a southern belle, we were taught how to eat! I cant remember myself "skinny" at any age. I have always been "thick" big and beautiful! Of course it isnt something im proud of. I am proud of being beautiful, but being big isnt easy. My weight has made me become a very strong woman with a heart of gold. I am compassionate & strong willed. I have had to fight some of the hardest battles and grow up very fast. I was diagnosed with diabetes when i was 12 and polycystic ovaries around the same time. I've been doing things by myself for as long as i can remember. My parents didnt know how to deal with me being sick most of the time, so ive had to deal with it myself. I've had two jobs since i was 15.. I graduated high school, got my first car by myself (yaaay!) and started a third job as soon as i graduated. I am everyones favorite waitress on the weekends, the fastest OR scheduler mon - fri (daytime) and my residents' favorite caregiver mon - fri (evenings.) . I dont know what i would do without my residents, they depend on me and it makes me feel amazing. At the end of the day, no matter how tired i am..i know i have 62 people who will tell me they love me & thats 62 hugs i get at least a day!! Im a very lucky girl =] . My dream is to work with kiddos who have cancer. To make a child smile is what i live for. I decided last month that i wanted to have the lapband surgery so that i can hopefully get rid of my diabetes. i want to be around for a very long time..giving every ounce of myself to whoever needs it. I hope that when God decides to take me i come sliding in a Hot pink, Glittery casket Screaming "HEEEELLLL YEAH! THAT WAS ONE HELL OF A RIDE!" haha. I am your girl next door, with a little more spunk.
