My name is Peggy and I will be RNY on April 26. Things have really been moving unusually fast for me.  My daughter and I attended an information seminar on January 13 and both had our initial consultations on February 3.  We both have Cigna insurance, in fact we are on the same policy,so we as well as the surgeon anticipated that the insurance company would deny our first request requiring us to complete 6 months of medically supervised diet and exercise.  But miraculously they called a week later and I was approved.  However, my daughter did not get her decision until a week later, and it was a denial for the six month period.  So I started getting all my medical clearances together.  My scheduled pre-op training will be on April 12,  pre-op appointment with the surgeon will be on April 14 and surgery on April 26.  Now it seems like time is creeping and I am struggling with dieting again.  I can't wait to get my tool, because I need help and I am ready to begin my new lifes journey to overcoming obesity health challenges and discomfort.  Plus I am 60 years old and won't mind feeling good about the way I look.
