"The nurses on the floor where I was staying kept saying that they never worked with bariatric patients before and were not very accomodating until I really got sick. I can't say all of the nurses but the night time nurse was unfriendly and the only thing that she thought the remedy for my complaints was to push the morphine pump."

"I have not yet met with the surgeon yet. But the Surgical Specialist of LA held a seminar for interested patients last night (4/2/02) and it was very helpful and organized. Everyone that was there including on of the surgeons were very informative. I look forward to a good relationship with the group! I am now in the process of getting approval and the Surgical Specialists of LA team has been fantastic and ultra supportive. It is such a nice feeling to know that the M.D.'s office cares and doesn't care how many times you call them. Well I met with Dr. Steeb to sign my consents. He was very nice and caring. He answered all of my questions. He did stress to me that this was major surgery. It sure does help that he is pretty cute. I am glad that I am having the procedure done with this group of people."

"I thought that Dr. Cooper was a great doctor. I think because she was not familiar with my specific situation that she was not as supportive as doctor that was more familiar. Overall she was supportive and her staff attentive."
