my husband finally came home last night from a very tough time.he was in the hospital for ten days.he had some complications.he had infection in the stomache lining. was running high fever .gastric juices were backing up in his stomach. he also lost half of his blood which made his blood count low.at one point I was told there was nothing else they could do for him. We are home now but still not doing that great. We have home healthcare coming to our home.Blood count has gone up some but not normal yet.He is still very weak.As far as his food intake is going, he is having no problem. He is already eating pureed foods with no prolems.Tonight he had chicken and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, and applesauce. Not really liking the protein drinks. He is also able to take all of his liquids in.While in the hospital, they could not find where the bleeding was coming from. They had to do a cat scan, two leak tests, three tests for blood clots, upper GI,scope of the colon, and a radioactive Xray, all which did not show anything. We still have a long road ahead of us,but we will make it.Next time maybe Iwill have better news.
