LEANNE~~ "I wish for you... Comfort on difficult days, Rainbows to follow the clouds, Laughter to kiss your lips, Sunsets to warm your heart Gentle hugs when spirits sag, Friendships to brighten your being, Beauty for your eyes to see, Confidence for when you doubt, Faith so that you can believe, Courage to know yourself, Patience to accept the truth, And love to complete your life." MOST OF ALL, I WISH YOU A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

I was talking to Leanne today and she was waiting for her homecare nurse to show up to remove her IV. She is still feeling down and was very happy to receive the messages you all left for her on her surgery page. She is a little upset that she will not be able to make it to the Million Pound March on Monday, but I told her if she sees us waving on TV, we will be waving at her. That made her laugh.

Hi Everyone! I wanted to post as my angel hasn't had acess to a computer to keep everyone posted. I had my open RNY on Tuesday June 26th at 10:30 am. I hate to admit it but it seems like I was a textbook case. I was practically pain-free the first night (thanks to my morphine pump) and had my NG tube, hemovac drain and IV removed by Thursday evening and enjoyed my first meal of the rest of my life, 3 spoonfuls of green hospital jello and som ice water!! On Friday Morning June 29th I was discharged from hospital and have been home ever since. I have not had any bouts of nausea or vomitting, and have only experienced slight discomfort in my new tummy if I gulp my fluids a little too quickly, but otherwise everything is fine. My Dr. gave me demerol for pain and I have only taken 4 pills since coming home. I want to thank everyone for their good wishes on my surgery page, and encourage all pre-op's not to be frightened, it is oh so worht it!!! I haven't weighed myself yet but family and friends say that especially my face shows some weight loss. I am going to my GP on Friday to have my staples removed and hope to reuturn to work part-time the following week, only if my body allows me to do so. Thanks again for your prayers and good wishes.
