I'm 33 days away from surgery and 23 days from the start of my liquid diet.  Today I told my boss about my plans.  She was very supportive.  I'm glad I told her.  My parents came around too, and are excited for me.  I can't wait to start my new life! 

Lately my biggest issue is that I'm doubting sometimes that this is going to work.  Some days I am convinced that just like every "diet" prior to surgery has failed, that this will as well.  Although intellectually I know better, I still am struggling with these thoughts.  Anyone else feel the same?

I told my parents about my decision to go to Mexico on Friday.  Let's just say they didn't take it well.  My mom refused to talk to me and my dad started yelling.  (My dad tends to do that when he's nervous).  I left there house sad, knowing I wasn't going to have their support. 

Yesterday my mom came over and we sat down and talked about my plans.  She had done several hours of research on VSG, on Dr. Alvarez, and stuff here on OH.  She and I were able to have a real conversation about everything, and after 3 hours she left feeling a lot better but still nervous.  Anyone else had problems with parents?
