After Surgery
Feb 28, 2009
Hey
I am starting to write this so that I can document my experieince and how I feel and how I am doing. Please add any comments or suggestions.
Well it is Saturday the 28 of Feb and I had my surgery on 24 Feb. I am still a bit sore where they put the port in, but all else seems to be ok. i am having a lot of gas, which does concern me, but I attribute it to the "gas" they used to expand my stomach.
Food is a bit of a issue with me. I like food with taste and I have to use my imagination to come up with food that will satisfy me. I can not eat that much before I get full, but I still want it with some flavor. Today is really the first time since surgery that I have felt hungery. I usually would eat just to provide myself with protein and so forth. So I guess that is a good thing. I bough some pre cooked chichen strips and cut them up to small pieces and eat them and they really fill me up.
I do not like to not drink while I eat. But I will be working on it.
I started out at 242, and one day pre-op I was 239, not much of a weight loss, but is was a bit. I started working on getting surgery since Oct 2008, which was not really bad, that it took 4 months to get it done.
I guess that is all I want to add today. Hope everyone is doing good out there, and hang in there.
Karin
