Jul 04, 2010
Ok, so I am officially crazy (well, it is for a good cause at least!)
I have signed up to do the 2010 Jimmy Fund Walk to help raise money for cancer with a few good friends from my Bridgewater Support Group! The walk spans the entire Boston Marathon route from starting in Hopkinton to ending in Boston ...... ahhh!!
Sooo, in preparation for this I have starting walking more each day. Today I did 6.6 miles! Wahoo!!
Here is the info for anyone interested!

Dumping?
Feb 27, 2010
Whoa, I think I felt a small amount of dumping the other night. I was eating nothing unusual - baked chicken with a little fat free sour cream for some moisture. After a bite I got a feeling in my chest that hurt so bad - I was in such pain. I felt as if I had to burp, so I tried an couldn't swallow any air. After a few minutes of the really bad chest pain I had to run to the bathroom and I proceeded to throw up. I have never dumped before but this sure felt like the worst thing in the world. I wonder what made this happen - I didn't eat too fast and didn't have any "new" foods ... so strange!

Not feelin' it.
Feb 21, 2010
I am about two months post-op and I'm feeling a little down. This should be a great, happy time in my life but I don't know what is going on with me. I am losing the weight but feel like I should be doing more. I have not had any dumping, which kind of makes me nervous. Before surgery I had a feeling that I would be one of the patients who won't get dumping, who won't feel full and who will be able to eat anything. I am not physically hungry (but boy, I am still mentally hungry) which is good but I also never feel full. I am sure I'm not alone on these feelings but, oh man, I sure feel like it.
Will I ever feel hungry?
