Hey ya'll! well again just like the last time i am writting an update that was due a while back, anyway I have lost 75 lbs so far, so excited I haven't seen 193lbs on my scale in 5 yrs.  Now this is the part where I am super annoyed I am not loosing anymore. I don't want to be model material, I just want to reach my original goal of 140, 150...if ya'll have any suggestions as to what can rev up my weight loss I would gladly appreciate anything take care everyone!

Well Ladies and Gentlemen, it has been a while since I've written on my Blog but I wanted to let you know how I am doing. I am really happy about getting the band, so far since January 16th(surgery date) I have lost 32 lbs. I am still dealing with my addiction to food, those demons will not leave me alone putting crazy thoughts in my head about like you will never be able to enjoy nuts, cake, rice(OMG I'm spanish), bread-authentic puertorican sweet bread, candy, coconut hash.....I can name so many puertorican delicacies and dishes there would be no space on here...but it is what it is, I did this because I knew I had no control over the volume in which I was eating all of my comfort foods, my culture and my identity as a puertorican has alot to do with the joy our traditional dishes bring but it doesn't define me as a puertorican. I have to learn to believe that. I don't yet but I am working on it. I have about 75 lbs to go. When I learn control maybe I'll be able to try a few of my treats again...but until I learn to have control I can't touch 'em. I will be in alot of trouble...anyway will post later

Well today just now, (haven't even called my hubby) I just received a phone call that my surgeon received a letter of approval!!I also have a surgery date of 1/16/09!!!!! I am so happy....I was just dancing in my not-so-flattering undergarments, lol, but maybe 2 yrs from now I am going to be dancing in a bikini on Santa Beach in my native Puerto Rico!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!

wait...can someone tell me about the endoscopy??? please I am such a sissypants, lol...well i guess i have to get over it, but if someone could give me an insight on pain level, how long did you have discomfort??? thanx

 Now I gotta start working on the chewing healthy foods, proteins, and maybe try to fit in a couple of walking sessions in.lol
