I am not going to start my story like everone else. We have all been there, all the diets, weight going up and down and all the fun and excitement. I am 33 and married to a wonderful man and we have 3 beautiful children, ages from 11-5. I was approved for Gastric Bypass on December 4, 2007. I am so ready and excited to start the process and begin my life. My surgery is scheduled for January 15, 2007 in Scottsbluff with Dr. Holloway. I really decided that I needed to do something about my weight when I saw my profile picture and I think I look like a turtle. This picture was taken about 2 years ago. I don't know how much I weighed then, but I do know that 1 year ago I weighed 455 pounds and I am now down to 420 pounds. So, the process began. It took a while to get everything in to be approved, but once everything was turned into my surgeons office she had an approval from the insurance company within 2 weeks. It seems like you are never going to hear the words, "you've been approved", but they do come and then you are just waiting for a date, that comes as well. Now, I only have 1 week until the big date. Time is passing fast now, I am very scared, but excited at the same time. Rebecca
