It's been almost 8 months since my RNY. I have lost 160 lbs and feel so much better. Next goal to be under 200. Woohoo can't wait. Hit a little bump in the road and had to have my gallbladder removed a couple weeks ago but doing good now.

OK so it has been awhile since I have been on here. I am 5 months out and down 129 lbs. I can buy clothes at Wal-Mart now. Woohoo! It gets easier each day and especially when you see he weight come off and the clothes fall off. I must say this has truly saved my life. I am beginning to enjoy life and it is nice to be able to get around better with my kids.

Surgery went successfully May 20th. Home and recovering now. Trying really hard to get in all my liquid and now protein along with vitamins. One day at a time. Still a little sore but it is getting better everyday.

Wow what a long day that was but oh so worth it. My husband and I attended our preop class. It was a very informative class. I had always been so worried about sugars, carbs, glucose, etc... I never really understood the difference between good carbs and bad carbs. I just thought sweet was bad. I was taught so much and am very thankful to have had the chance to attend a class like that. Not all programs work the same way but I blessed to be a patient of St Vincent Bariatric Center of Excellence.

While at the class we were given sippy cups and baby spoons. To cute!! Being funny someone asked about the color of the cups. My husband leans over to me and says I'd like one with "Cars". While out shopping I found a "Cars" sippy cup and got it for him. LOL He then tells me he was just kidding. I wasn't because I got "Spongebob".

I have received my approval from insurance. Now I am just waiting on a surgery date. However we are still having some issues with my husbands approval. Colleen at Dr. Inman's office thinks we will be ok it might just take a little bit longer for his approval. Actually the insurance did approve the surgery but denied the hospital stay. I believe it is all still workable just have to clear up a few details and we should be good to go. Woo Hoo!

I called the insurance company today to verify they have everything needed forapproval and WOW I was told I'm approved. Now I am just waiting on the approval letter to come in the mail. I will then fax that to my Dr and wait for a surgery date.

We (my wounderful, amazing, understanding, supporative, super awsome husband and I) had our psych evaluations last night in Indianapolis. We will now have everything sent to insurance for approval. From what I hear HIP (Healthy Indiana Plan) Anthem BC/BS is pretty easy to work with. I was told that they usually get approval letters back in a couple of weeks. I do not want to get my hopes up but I am pretty excited. It is all in God's hands.

Had the consult with Dr. Inman. Things went good. Most of the information I pretty much new but very helpful to be informed on how their office handles things and to learn who your contact people are. Very helpful and answered questions. Getting medical records sent in and will be setting up the psych eval next.

I just received my insurance card today. I have to reschedule my consult with Dr. Inman for after the first of the year. I am ready to get this ball rolling.

I just set up a consult with Dr. Inman. I am still in the process of getting my insurance lined up to take on this challenge that I hope will not be difficult. I have just been approved for the Healthy Indiana Plan Anthem Blue Cross Blus Shield. This is the begining for me all over again. I hope it goes smothly this time.
