"<big>Tara, who schedules new patients, is fun to talk to, and took lots of time to answer all of my questions. So far, so good! <hr> The office staff are very pleasant to deal with, even after answering the same question for the umpteenth time that day. They are <i>very</i> busy, however, and if they say they'll call you back about something, take it to mean that you'll have to call them repeatedly to follow up. They just can't move at the speed of an anxious pre-op! <hr> Dr. Waldrep is quite the wiseacre and is quick to laugh. He's a lot of fun to talk to, and you get the impression he really enjoys getting to know you and guiding you through this surgical process. He makes himself available to answer questions constantly, whether by e-mail, in person, or through regular online chats on his website, <a href="http://salsa.md">salsa</a>. <hr> I also have great fondness for Cindy, the insurance coordinator, who was new when I was applying for approval. She worked very, very hard for me, and never, ever, gave me the impression she was tired of hearing from me when I bugged her constantly. When she finally was able to "make the call" to me to tell me that I was approved, I cried so hard I could hardly talk with her. She got emotional too, because it had been such a frustrating few weeks. Truly a delightful person! <hr> Topping it all off, Dr. Waldrep's nurse, Beth, is fantastic. I have enjoyed my visits with her thoroughly, and although she's the one who has the awful job of pulling those danged drains, she did it with lots of skill and concern for what I was feeling. A big hug from her after it was all over was the very best medicine!</big>"

"This is an absolutely excellent hospital with the best staff I've come across yet. The nurses are incredibly responsive and caring, and always answered my buzzes within seconds. I never waited for anything, and there were never any problems with my special needs as an rny patient. They have their program for wls set up beautifully. The facility is just 6 years old, and everything from the carpets to the equipment is in perfect shape. Also, every single patient room is private. As the crowning touch, natural light is everywhere -- big windows, glass walls, atriums. Highly recommended!"
