6 months since lap banding
Jul 16, 2007
I am losing slowly but steady. Have had 2 'fills' since the surgery and due for another one on the 26th of July. It is a fine tuning type of thing and I had to let myself calm down and go with the program. Finding the sweet spot (as they term it) is a gradual process along with other factors that impact the tightness of the band. I can eat almost anything as long as I am SURE TO CHEW CHEW CHEW. Down about 35 pounds and am tapering off my celebrex and blood pressure meds. Al in all I am very pleased with the lap band. Anyone have questions feel free to write me at [email protected].
Setting a date
Dec 26, 2006
When the hospital asks you to be involved and help them to help you get insurance approval, they SHOULD listen to what you tell them. My original date for surgery was to be 12/22/06 but now it WILL be 01/16/07. This was not the fault of my insurance, they have a 3 to 5 day turn around time for approval and that is what they did once they received the correct information from the hospital. You have to stay proactive (pain in the butt if you like) to get things done. Happy to have my new date and happy to have Anthem BCBS via General Motors employment.
