"I can not say enough positive about Dr. Ben-Meir. He has a very caring, compassionate attititude but is extremely knowledgable and skilled in his profession. My opinion of him has only elevated since surgery. I had great confidence in him preoperatively and have found that to be well placed confidence now. During your initial visit, you watch a video that covers everything you need to know about the surgery, preop and postop care, lifestyle changes necessary for success and the risks associated witht the surgery. During your visit with the Dr, he then reviews all this information and answers any questions that you may have on it. The office was very helpful in getting all of my paper work submitted, approval obtained, and in keeping me informed of my progress. They have been very good at returning my calls when I have had questions, concerns or problems. The aftercare program is wonderful and Dr Ben-Meir stresses from the initial consultation through your post op appt's the need to follow the rules, keep follow up appt's with his office and your PCP. In my initial appt he said that this surgery is not a cure or a magic fix, but a really good tool. You can use this tool very effectively, or you can abuse it or ignore it and it will not work. That has really stuck with me. I work with many physicians on a daily basis. I would rate Dr Ben-Meir tops in his field and abiliy. Both his bedside manner and his surgical/medical competance are stellar. "
