Well, I'm sure my story is pretty similar to a lot of you. I've struggled with my weight my whole life. The first time a went on a diet I was in 8th Grade. I was a size 18/20 when I graduated high school and got married. Since then I just kept gaining and getting bigger. Especially with each of my 3 pregnancies. I started looking into wls before I had my last child, but decided that I would wait unitl after I had it because I knew it was going to be my last. When my baby was 3 mo old I went in for surgery. My insurance did not cover it at all so I knew I would have to pay cash. Everything goes really smoothly and quickly when you don't have to wait on insurance. I had my wls on June 26, 2007. To this day I have had no complications. I woke up from the surgery in no pain at all and couldn't believe how easy it was. I was rarley even sick and don't dump. This whole journey has been such an easy and great thing for me. By 6 mo I had lost 100 lbs. and since then about 35.
