Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)… RNY 10/31/03 – down 88 pounds!!! Good luck!

Gayenell- Congrats and good luck on your first "big"step to the other side. Prayers and support are with you. I am a nurse at Southview and scheduled on March 23rd at SVH. Just 2 days away!! I will be sure to pray for you on Tuesday.....Melissa

Gaynelle: Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I know you'll be relieved when it's all over. Here is something my sister (whose middle name is also Gaynelle...coincidence, I think not) sent me recently to help me prepare for my surgery. Maybe you will find it helpful for you too. "To be spoken by mouth 3 times a day.": Father, you have given me abundant life. I receive that life hrough your Word and it flows to every organ of my body, bringing healing and health. Body, I apeak the Word of Faith to you! I demand that every internal organ perform a performt work, for you are the temple of the Holy Ghost; therefore, I charge you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the authority of His Holy Word to be healed and made whole in Jesus' name. There are other affirmations too...email me if you would like me to send them to you. I also have BC/BS Anthem-Govt...I hope they are as swift with my surgery as your's has been. I went for me initial consult Feb 25th, and had my psych eval on the 29th...I have two more appointments in March, so hopefully in April i'll be well on the way to getting a surgery date. Good luck Tuesday. I will be praying for your safe and speedy recovery. May God's angels accompany you through surgery and recovery, protect you with their love, and guide your surgeon's hand. Lynn

I pray that God will keep you close to his side as you embark on this new journey through life. You must be filled with excitement and fears, thrills, chills and wonderment. You will have your ups and downs. Remember that we are at AMOS are willing to listen and get you through all of those things. Just ask. This will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself and your family. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I hope for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Good luck and God Bless!!!!
