"My first impression of Dr. Kligman was at his required seminar in December, 2002. He was serious, factual to a fault and easily able to answer any and all questions posed by any of the patients. He is very sure of himself and exacting in his explanation of the surgical approach he uses (laparoscopic divided gastric bypass RNY). He has very high statistics of successful surgeries and is very careful to screen prospective patients for almost all medical issues.
His aftercare program seems quite detailed. He has patients sign a 'contract' to insure that you will follow his protocol, attend 8 support group meetings within 2 years as well as taking vitamins and supplements if necessary and having bloodwork done on a regular basis to monitor for any deficiencies.
I am more than satisfied with his surgical competence and have learned that he has a nice, caring bedside manner although he doesn't show this at first."
