Hello to anyone who is visiting my blog!
I started my journey on 6/4/07 at 358lbs and wearing size 4x shirt and size 58 jeans. I also had numerous health related issues, including Diabetes and Conjestive Heart Failure. I had gastric bypass surgery and in less than a week I was able to come off of all Diabetes medications. It was a tough journey for the first few weeks. I threw-up several times due to not chew-chew-chewing as well as I should.
In less than 6 months, I have lost 103lbs (I weigh 255lbs) and I am wearing size XL shirt and size 42 jeans. For the first time in my life I don't have to pay extra for extended sizes and I can buy the cheap jeans at Walmart!
I have a lot more energy and I don't get as tired playing with my kids or doing stuff after only 2 or 3 minutes of "play-time".
It's been a hard, but fun journey so far and I can't wait until I reach my goal. Dr. Tom seems to think I should be between 175 to 200lbs, but I've never been that small to even think I should be below 200lbs.
Here is a list of foods that I just simply can't tolerate any more:
Bread
Chicken
Potatoes (sometimes)
Pizza
Anything Fried
Sugar (I haven't really tried it, I don't want to either!)
Well, that is really all I have to share for now. I will take pictures at my 6 month visit with Dr. Tom and start posting them....
Good luck to everyone on your journey! We're all in this together!
