Wow, my story....let me see. Weight is something I have battled since junior High. I only remember being thin two years of my High School Days, I was cheerleading then, so I tried hard to not get too overweight. After graduation in '89 and having my first child in 1990 I had went up to over 230 pounds. I stayed around there until 1993 went I went and got a prescription for diet pills. I did very well. losing 65 pounds fairly quickly. At 165 which sounds like alot, I look back at pictures and I looked pretty thin! It didn't take me long to figure out that I couldn't maintain that weight without being miserable and starving. By 1998 I was weighing around 185 which worked out really well for me. I felt good and could maintain that pretty easily without diet pills. In 1999 I became pregnant with my second child, and was very sick and spent alot of time in bed. By the time I gave birth I was back up to 230 pounds. That next year, I had a series of health problems and several surgeries, gaining more weight with each one of them. Before I knew it I was weighing in at 270 and wondering how in the world I let myself get this big. That brings me to today, coming to the realization that I need help! I am suffering from type 2 diabetes, high chloresterol, high blood pressure and am taking more medicine daily than I care to talk about. I'm hoping this surgery will help me get my life back with more energy and better health than I have been in for years .![]()
