I have always had weight issues throughout my life, but was very active and the weight never got out of control or to extremes. I was 39 when my lifestyle changed dramatically. I have a job in which I sit most of the day and I went through some stressful life situations. After turning forty, I quit smoking and the weight just would not stop increasing. I have always been a stress eater also. At 48 yrs old I was 232. I had to do something. I had a lap band surgery in June 08, but it became detached and I had to have surgery again in Sept to reattach it.
I weigh 223 now in April on 2010. I never lost below 212. I am still happy that I had it done because I haven't gained anymore, but I have lost the initial I can do this attitude. I will start an exercise routine and then hurt something before I get going good and I am back idle letting whatever heal.
My get going motivation to get the weight off is my neice. If I can set an example for her then maybe she can follow. She I hope will be monitoring me throughout this life long journey.
Ok it is almost Oct 2010. My exercise has been non existant since I was injured in May. I am ready to try again. Seems like that is all I do is try. I want to do it. My weight is 224 as of this date.
Jan 3 2011 I am still at 224. I have to justify what I am doing for myself. I have a bulging disk in my back from my injury in May. I just need to work through it. I am going to shoot for a 50 lb loss by July. That would be wonderful. I am going to start my liquid diet after the 5th. I am having a tooth pulled that day so might as well start it then.
Jan 23, 2012 I am at 225. Still have the back problem and now have roto cuff problems with my right arm. Yes all due to horse related accidents. I am ready to do this and get back in shape so I can enjoy life and doing things again. I need to loose at least 75 lbs. Took years to put it there hopefully I can get most of it off by the end of the year.
