"Personally, I found information about the lap banding procedure and Dr Pitt from a mailing his office sent to my physician. My physician told me I was the perfect candidate for the lap banding so I called and made an appointment for the seminar in November 2003. I went into the seminar armed with as much information as I could find online. Dr Pitt and his staff answered all questions from everyone attending and gave us more information than I could find researching online. They covered eating requirements, after care, what to expect, information about all bariatric surgery options available through Dr Pitt, a full notebook of step by step information and forms to be filled out. There are support groups available for pre-op and post-op. I heard there is a clothing exchange prior to those meetings and that is an added bonus. Everything has ran smoothly during the insurance approval process for me. I feel Dr Pitt is a compassionate and knowledgable surgeon. I have been completely impressed with all of my interactions with him and his office staff. "
