Mom and I flew away to Georgia last week!  It was a week of Food, Fun and Sun.

Of course being close to Savannah we visited Paula Deen's restuarant the Lady and Son's.  We also went to Uncle Bubba's Oyster House.  Both were great.

I had some major concerns about over doing but I kept my portions small and took my time.  No problems...  

We did so much walking and shopping that I lost another 7 pounds.  Now I am down to 284.  I have my 6 month check up next week.  

We joined the YMCA about a month ago.  I am really enjoying the Water Aerobics and the machines.   Stay healthy!

I got a great birthday gift today!  The scale told me 298!    I am now offically out of the 300's.  

Mom and I went to Panera bread for dinner.  Boy was my Brocolli Cheddar soup good!  Mom had a great looking Italian sandwich.  mmmmmmmmm.

I got calls from Denny, Jeff and Aunt Carla tonight.    I love them so much!  

You know a couple of months ago I was looking forward to having a piece a very small piece of cake.  But......since I see the number on the scale I'm gonna pass.  I worked out again tonight and am getting ready to hit the hay!  Nite all!

Today I weighed and the scale shows 301.  I am anxious to get to the 200's.  I took a bunch of clothes up to the Salvation Army last week.  I have dropped 3 clothing sizes now.  WOW.

I found out the hard way that even though I am feeling great and my energy level is through the roof that my body is still not up to what I am doing to it.  I had to slow down my aerobics due to muscle problems.  Now I am doing more stretching exercises.  I purchased a resistance kit for the pool.  I strap on my ankle weights and take my dumbells and get to work.

I am so thankful that I have my Mom who is my number 1 cheer leader.  She and I work out a minimum of 5 days a week for at least an hour. 

Mom and I are in the process of planning our trip to Savannah GA.  We get to see my Brother Denny and his wife Cathy.  They are going through Savannah on their way to Atlanta.  Mom wants to go to the Lady and Son's restuarant and Uncle Bubba's.  Mom is a huge Paula Deen fan.  We are even going to take the Paula Deen tour.

I have been working out for the past 3 weeks with Mom.  We are doing Water Aerobics in her apartment complex pool.  It is so fun and refreshing.  

I bought some pants at the local DAV store.  4 sizes smaller that what I wore in April.  I can get them on but may have a blow out in the rear yet.  Give me a couple more weeks and then I'll be good to go.  

I went back to Shawnee Mission Hospital on Monday and saw Linda the Bariatric Coordinator.  She is so nice!  My friend Parker had his RNY done Monday morning.  He is doing fine. Yea!

Without thinking I popped a daytime Sutafed.  It worked great for about an hour.  I felt like I had been run over by a big truck.  I grabbed some liquid Tylenol Cold.  It came back up faster than it went down.

I called Dr. Hoehn's office and left a message for the nurse Mary.  I also tried calling my friend Vince.  Vince had the surgery a little over a year ago.  He told me to have my doctor order me a prescription of Amoxicillin.  You know the pink stuff that little kids take.  I was up to trying anything to get the drips, the cough and the headache to go away!

I was on the way to see my regular Physician Dr. Clark when Mary called me back.  She confirmed what Vince said.  Since I am Dr. Clark's first patient to have had the roux-en-y done I pass this info on to her. 

I'm at the pharmacy to pick up my kids medicine and the Pharmacy told me to make sure I shake it up real good before I give it to my daughter.  You should have seen his face when I told him it was for me! 

I have been on the Amoxicillin and Benadryl for 2 days now and wowie I feel so much better. 

Eugene had roux-en-y surgery on June 14th 2007.  He was released from the hospital on Saturday.  He passed away on Tuesday due to complications from his surgery. 

At this point I must add that originally Eugene went to the KC Bariatric clinic last year.  The doctor told him he was not a good candidate at that time.  He needed to lose some weight and his heart was weak.  

Eugene decided that he did not want to do as the Doctor asked and chose to go somewhere else and have it done now.  

Eugene was a very loved and respected person.  We miss him very much. 

I suprised my husband with a trip to Red Lobster for dinner.  Mom joined us.  All week I have been thinking about what to order.  Well I had 2 pieces of Shrimp and brought 4 pieces home.   MMMMMM  

I have my 2 month checkup on Monday.  As of today I have lost 61 pounds.  Yipee!  Tomorrow I am going to the Disabled Veterans shop and give them some of my too big clothes and shoes.

Boy the time has flown by. I have so much energy I can't believe it. Today I was climbing under desks at work to troubleshoot phone problems. My knees didn't even hurt! Mom and I want to start doing water arobics. I told her after my 2 month checkup I'll be ready to hit the pool. 

Mom invited me over for dinner last night. She lets me window shop through her fridge until I find what I want to eat. Last night was Cottage Cheese. She laughs and calls me a cheap date. 

I went over to harrass my most favorite brother Jeff tonight. I haven't seen him for a couple of weeks. He visits my page so here is a BIG SHOUT OUT TO JEFF! Are you still gonna teach me how to ride my new bike? I never had a bike that had to be shifted before. And do you still have Dallas' training wheels? I may need them. 

My great friend Nancy called tonight. It was nice talking to her. I gotta go see her soon. She says since I've lost over 50 pounds she probably won't recognize me. Well it won't be the weight.... I'm gonna become blonde on Saturday. Get to go see my favorite wild child stylist Loren.

Over the past few weeks I have been extremely busy finishing up loose ends at home and at work.  Now I find myself reading my emails from JudyAnne and LavenderLoco.  How wonderful are their messages! 

I am so ready, both mentally and physically.  My goal this weekend is to purchase a wild pair of boxers to complete the perfect outfit I will be wearing on Monday.  I am truly blessed to have this opportunity.
