We made it through the wedding!

3/29/07--I know it has been some time since I updated. Well there has been a lot going on. I am now married to the man of my dreams.
Kevin is just wonderful! I love him dearly! We have 2 wonderful sons.
I ahve to admit that the last couple of weeks before the wedding were really trying, BUT we made it. Just about everything that could go wrong did. We had an ice storm the day before the wedding. It looked like no one would be there to share our special day. Well I was wrong. Out of about 120 people we only had about 16 people that just couldn't make it because the weather was so bad.

Well lets see, I saw my parents on the 13th of January for the first time since August 5th, 2006. I have lost 100 pounds since then. At first all my Mom could do is cry. My Dad just choked up. He didn't say a word he just kept hugging me. That was enough for me. After a little while he told me how good I looked.
I am smaller now then I have been in over 23 years. Yes you read that right. 23 years! I feel wonderful. I was asked the other week if I have ever regretted doing what I did. I can honestly say with all of my heart, NO! I would do it all over again in a heart beat!
Back to the wedding, I am so excited! 6 weeks and so much to do!
My dress came in, I ordered it Sept 30 and was hoping for the best. That was over 50 pounds ago. When I ordered my gown I tried on a size 20 and it came almost up it still needed 3-4 inches to close at the top. Well they told me that wedding gowns run 1-2 sizes smaller according to the designer. Well when I ordered it I ordered an 18 and they said they could take it in if it was to big up to 6 inches. Well it came in on the 24 of January and I just had to go and see about it. I was so scared it would be to small and here I am with a dress that doesn't fit me and 7 weeks to the wedding. Well it fit. It was a PREFECT fit. You would have swore that the lady sat here and made the dress stitch by stitch with me there. Can you tell I am excited? You know I am! I can hardly wait until the wedding for Kevin to see me. I know to most guys a wedding is a wedding, yes and he has no idea what my gown even looks like. LOL I sure don't need any bad luck!
As for an update on my progress, I go February 28th for my 9 month check-up. I can't wait for that. When I started my journy I was wearing size 32 and it was tight. I now wear a 14/16 top and a size 16 pants. I am very glad I have always had very think hair. I have lost some, but that is my body going through all the change. My hair isn't falling out very much right now. It kind of comes and goes, (LOL) get it! LOL
I was very sick last week. We had went out to eat and I had a piece of pasta (now grant it I have had a little bit before) Well it got stuck going down and I was in so much pain I thought I was dying. Now grant it I am 8 months out and have never had the pain that others have talked about, I have needed hot tea to move something down a little, but nothing like this! Since my surgery I have never had to call the dr for something like this. The minute it happened, I laid down in the booth of the restaurant, thank goodness we were the only ones there. Kevin went to pay the bill and Matthew took me to the jeep. When I got in the jeep I laid the seat back and went on my left side. The pain only got worse. I called the WLC and then Dr Davidson called me right back. He told me to give it a little time and drink more tea. He also told me if I had some pain medicine left from the surgery or a Tylenol to take it. He said if I wasn't feeling any better in an hour to call him and then I would need to go to the closest ER. (I had my surgery in Harrisburg and in Nov moved north of Philly) Well they got me home and Kevin took me upstairs to lay down and Matthew was making more hot tea. When I took the Tylenol the minute it went in I got sick. The pasta and medicine came up and the pain was gone in about 3 minutes. I was shocked that one tiny piece of pasta could make you in so much pain that I was ready to go to the ER. Thank goodness I had Kevin and Matthew to take care of me. I have not eaten anything with pasta since. It will be a long time before I will try anything like that again.

It has been a while since I have posted anything. Well a lot has changed. I am now down 150 pounds. I weigh 210! I have not weighed this in over 23 years. Yes you read that right. I have went for super morbidly obese to being 1.5 points away from being over weight! When I lose 10 more pounds then I will only be over weight. I can handle being obese a little while longer.
I love my new life. I am planning my wedding. We are getting married on St Patricks Day. My wedding gown is due in any minute. They said it would be today or tomorrow.
