Update on me...November 2011
Nov 17, 2011
In "My Story" you will see my journey from before I had the surgery until a year or so after. A lot has changed since then...a lot! I am now divorced and a single mom of two young children at home (ages 6 and 10 boys) and a 20 year old daughter who is in the Air Force. I am very happy that I had the surgery in July of 2003. I went from 305lbs to 140lbs. I wear a size 6 jeans now. Big difference from the size 24 that I was wearing. I feel much better about the way that I look now but still need a lot of plastic surgery to complete the process. One day I will have this done but now I am uninsured and not working so it will have to wait. I have some health problems from what we believe to be malabsorbtion issues. I haven't done well with taking my supplements over the years and I am facing the consequences from that. My vitamin D and b12 are extremely low as well as dealing with severe anemia. I've been hospitalized for transfusions and iron infusions. I implore everyone to keep up with their vitamins. It could mean life or death. I deal with fibromyalgia in a bad way. Over all, I would still have the surgery again but I should have taken my vitamins and watched my levels more closely. I am trying to do that better now. I am tired of feeling bad all the time. I am researching now how to improve my health. Will update more often my profile.About Me
