I amworking for a company as a full time consultant and hopefully they will hire me full time and I can then have my surgery.
They do not cover it but they have the option to pay for extended coverage and then they will pay maybe 75-80 %. It will be worth it. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

This is really depressing.

My hubby has now lost over 100 pounds since his surgery in 2008 and is still losing slowly.

I have gained weight in the last year  due to a bad job, working long hours and weekends  with bad food served and no time off to work out.

I am back eating right and working out since being laid off and I am now consulting from home and I love it!

I can go to the Y during the day for Aqua Core classes and have a blast with hubby still with Aqua Aerobics at night.

I really missed working out and I go see Dr Legha on Mar 22nd. He assigned to lose 10 lbs before he would schedule the surgery and I am down 5 already.

Can't wait to start my journey, it has been too long and my hubby's journey  has brought me faith in using the tool.

It has 2 1/2 yrs for him and he still is slowly losing weight and has never had to go back to all his meds! He never snores anymore and that is a  huge miracle!

It will be 5 weeks on Monday! He has not dumped once but does feel yucky if he eats a little too much. He can eat pretty much what he wants to now. He avoids carbs and most all sugar though. He can't believe how little fills him up! He cannot believe how little he spends on lunch now!

One more week and he can go back to Water Aerobics which he misses most. The Gym is not as much fun! He is really losing around the waist , the face and his legs!  Will post more pics soon.


Next Support group is the 18th and they are doing Before & After yearly pics so he has selected some good FAT clothes to bring when he was 67 pounds heavier!

He needs his own page but he would never keep it up to date so I will do them together here! He has lost 15 pounds since his surgery 12 days ago!!
He is doing great and went to the doctor last Thursday and everthing checked out fine. I will post pics soon here.

He can go on stage 3 "A" puree (minced meat) foods beginning on Monday (2 weeks since surgery) and he can't wait! He was on liquids two days before surgery so this is two weeks of liquids and he is getting restless for a change up to something more solidlike!

He loves chewing his Calcium tabs ! He also loves his popsicles! Gets kinda boring not chewing.

He got some nice swim shorts that already fit in a smaller size from Kevin (bdkane19) at the Group last Wednesday, thanks for the clothes  Kevin!! Of course Kevin is way ahead with his 100 pounds down already!!

Chris is down 10 pounds since Monday,  already. Can you believe men!!?? It is not fair!!

He eats his Protein Shake for breakfast, Soup and  protein pudding for lunch and dinner. Has bullets to fill in if he needs to. 

No sickness to speak of and he has cleaned his whole closet out to!!! He goes with me to the store, bank or where ever and even goes walking dogs to the park every night!

He is having no problems at all and is in no pain. He says it's the three 
months of Aquatic Aerobics at the Y and weight loss we did prior to the surgery! He was able to recover right away and feels strong as a horse! Muscles are super strong! He only takes a littel pain meds at night and has no trouble sleeping even. He also says his major back pain he has always had is almost gone!  He is thriledd and so am I!

We were also thrilled to meet Kevin last night allong with scores of Dr Leghas patients past, present and future!  We felt good about the surgery after the meeting and we asked alot of questions. Our appt to meet Dr Legha for our consultation was moved up due to surgery to Xmas Eve,Dec 24th at 11AM. We are excited!

i GOT MY FLU SHOT YESTERDAY AND HAD TO ADD A NEW MED FOR HIGHT BLOOD PRESSURE! 10mg OF LISENOPRIL TO 100 MG OF TOPROL XL.

TURNS OUT CHRIS HAD NOROVIRUS FOR THE CONFERENCE HE ATTENDED OF TOP OF THE URINARY INFECTION. HE IS STILL LOSING WEIGHT THE HARD WAY BUT FEELING BETTER NOW.

I ORDERED UP SOME PRTEIN SHAKES AND WILL SEE IF WE CAN GET USED TO THEM!

GOING TO PRE-OP BARIACTRIC SURGERY ORIENTATION DEC 6TH. AT CAMINO MEDICAL CENTER IN MT VIEW.
