Yes I have a date -- I saw Dr. Wynn today for my preopt and my surgery date is 10/28. Yippee -- No treats for me only tricks :)
I am so ready for this. The only snag I had was that bc/bs wanted 5 years of recorded weights -- all my clearances had the post notes saying how long they treated me and I was weighed each time....but I asked again and hopefully they will come thru. Mistee told me not to worry and will let me know. I am not going to get upset -- I am too happy that everything seems ok with the Dr. She is so thorough and reasuring.
I have faith that this will be a journey to better health and a "lighter" future.
Just wanted to bring everyone up to date with me. Hope everyone is doing great...

Well I am done with all my clearances, did cardio doc today and they said they want a stress test done when my surgery date is set or around the month before. I asked about my date and they said that bc/bs of ill. wants a 6 mos. of classes and then they will allow for surgery..if i meet all that in the deadline. I have almost all that now!! I guess I will just be sitting and waiting for the next 3 mos. to pass so I can get a date set. What a waste of time.!!! And that will bring me to August!! Darn I really wanted it over by June. So I am bummed out but will try to attend more classes so I keep motivated.
Just thought I would bring you all up-to-date. Can't wait till I am on the losing side with all of you.

I have an appt. with Dr. Wynn on 4/4 and am getting anxious...I tried to complete this last year but had family serious illnesses that required my attention..so like many of us...I put me on HOLD. :( But it was for a good reason. But now I am putting me first and so is my DH he is supporting me thru this and I am so glad. Previously, he was not sure but since attending the seminar he feels this is the least invasive and he knows that my health is suffering from the weight. I only pray that I get approved and can start my journey along with the rest of you. I will keep you posted and I really enjoy reading the posts that let me know the steps ahead of me. Bless you all.
