I've lost 130 pounds as of today 4/30/11. Hoping to be at goal by Christmas!

Thank you for all the help and support.

Bethany called and IBX approved surgery, waiting on CoxHealth to approve.

Next steps are appointments (try to do them all on the same day) and then a surgery date will be scheduled.  Talked to Nicole 4/25 – no authorization received. Talked to Sasha 5/4 and utilization review still has not received anything. Made three way call with Sasha and Gillian 5/4. Bethany got on the line and was faxing the items to the incorrect fax number. It was a 215 number. I had left the 4172692919 fax number on her voicemail on April 27^th, but she had not acted on this information. Hopefully today we will make progress.

I called 5/10 and left another message for Bethany. No answer. Bethany called Thursday 5/12 and said my insurance responded. IBX –yes, Cox – no…surgery proceeding forward. Going through anesthetician and nurse review board (standard procedure).

The next step is the class on 5/23 to learn about pre-surgery requirements. Then a surgery date will be scheduled.

WOOHOO!!! Surgery date 5/31. So scared and excited. AHHHHH!!!! I can't believe it's tomorrow.

I'm on the road to surgery again. Praise God!

I cannot believe it has been 18 months since my little boy was born! He is the joy of my lift, but as I hover right around 260 pounds, I cannot keep up with him without extra effort any longer.

I am STILL in the battle with insurance. Always an exclusion, each year I pray...but nothing. Private policies wont give it to me because I am already a BMI of Morbid obese and so they deny me coverage.

My husband has sent me on an adventure to try and find another job...or move to a state that allows the surgery and it seems so futile.

Anyone from SW Missouri know of a place I could work to get the insurance? I am a great employee......just desperate.

My quest for surgery is on hold...we have a baby on the way.

I am still in the Journeys program, not going to backslide...but surgery will have to wait.

We will be welcoming home a baby boy in March 2009.

My husband and I have been in the Journeys program for 7 weeks, and I have lost over 20 pounds. It is a wonderful program, that is working for me. I still pray and hope that I can have the surgery and have a more stable support system for making sure the weight comes off and stays off... but for now, things are looking up and I am moving forward.

Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. I will try and post a new picture soon.

My BMI has dropped 3.5 points - WOOHOO!!!!

I am still waiting and fighting on my own...

The PCOS is a new diagnoses (last summer) but I think I have always had it. I am getting ready to be part of a health program here in Monett called Journeys and I am very hopeful for that.

Also... My insurance might be changing from Humana to United Healthcare, so please keep me in your prayers that they will pay for WLS.

It looks like I will have to self-pay for my surgery, so keep me in your prayers that I find the money.

 

 

I am 268 pounds.  I have completed my 6-month doctor supervised diet and exercise program.  Insurance required it and I am just waiting for Mary Trampler to fax all of the items to insurance to get approval for my surgery.

Please keep my in your prayers.  If insurance does not approve, I will be devastated and have to regroup and try to find another way.
