My name is Richelle Adair Kluck.  I'm 36 years old and I am morbidly obese.  I hate hearing that phrase.  I've been overweight since college, but moreso in the last 8 years (since my third baby).  In the past 5 years, I've put on around 100 pounds.  Not for the usual reasons though.  I'm married to a wonderful man, and to be honest, I'm happy and content.  He loves me regardless and just doesn't see weight as an issue.  But, even though he loves me unconditionally, I'm not happy with myself.  I decided it's time to do something about it.

I never thought WLS was something I would consider, until I found out it could be done lapryscopically.  I had 3 c-sections and a hernia repair and had no desire to be cut hipbone to hipbone again.  I'm fortunate to work at a VA hospital so I have tremendous federal insurance.  I attended my first seminar on January 30 and was scheduled for surgery on March 26.  I'm not sure that I don't hold some kind of record for getting everything done.  I had the advantage of my friend Melissa, who had gone through the entire process right before me.  I gained much time from her knowledge and experience.  It turns out, she only had the surgery 2 weeks before me, so it's really like we did it togetherIt's so nice to have someone right in my own clinic to talk to about all the stuff that goes along with surgery everyday.
