I have been overweight most of my life. My highest, immediately before surgery, was 256. Unlike most people I've talked to my insurance approval was relatively quick and easy. They (BCBSNC) required a pysch, dietary and 5 yr weight history before approval. I began the process in September and had Lap Band Surgery 12-11-07. My surgeon and her staff have been wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone. She is worth the drive. I started my 10 day pre-op diet on 12-01-07 at 256. Received my first fill on 1-28-07 and was at 231.6. While I am feeling some restriction I have had very little problems with anything. So far, toast is the only thing I've found I can not eat.
I'm exercising 5 days a week, about 30 to 45 minutes each day.
