Hi everybody, it is only me, but I have good news. Our lady Tracey has just sent me a message letting me know that she is home safe and sound. That is good news, a day earlier than expected!! I am very happy that Tracey is doing better, she had us worried there for a while. She told me she will write more later today or tomorrow depending on how she feels. Thankyou God that Tracey is home and doing better and for listening to our prayers. WAY TO GO TRACEY, YOU HAVE MADE IT TO THE OTHERSIDE!!!! I will be joining you there soon!! Love, Kimmy

Hi everybody, checked on Tracey tonight. I called her room, Tracey was taking a spin in the halls but I spoke with her sister, Glynn. Glynn says that Tracey is starting to feel better, her labs come back today and the Doc says there is no infection with the incision but thinks that Tracey has an intestinal bug. She continues to run a low grade fever. Tracey will be in the hospital until at least Sunday, they are keeping an eye on her. I told Glynn (who by the way is familiar with Jeannie) the good news about Jeannie and asked her to relay it to Tracey. Everyone continue to keep Tracey in your thoughts and prayers that she will continue to improve and hopefully get to go home soon. Kimmy

Good morning everyone. I just called the hospital and got to talk with the lady herself, Tracey. She is not doing well at all. As Tracey's sister stated in her post last night, Tracey was asked to be taken off of morphine and they put her on Demerol. After a day of that Tracey decided she still wasn't feeling "with it" and requested to be taken off of the Demerol. She told me that she has not had anything for pain since last night and feels she is coping better. She will be in the hospital at least another day. She had another night of no sleep and trouble with her bowels and she still can't keep anything down. I asked her to call me this afternoon to let me know how she is doing. Please keep Tracey in our prayers that she will get to feeling better and get to go home soon. Kimmy

Hi, it's me Glynn- Tracey's sister with an update. I wish I had happy news but there is still no improvement in Tracey's condition. She had a terribly rough night (Weds night) and got no sleep at all. Nausea, vomiting, cramping and vicious diarreaha (sp?) lasting through 4pm Thurs. She did request to be taken off of the morphine as it seems to be a catalyst for the nausea and she couldn't get a grasp on the time or date; she's experiencing major time distortion. She is very hungry but afraid to eat at all with all that has happened. They took labs and we should have results tomorrow. KIMMY, pease DO call her tomorrow (Friday) if you can.She is now in a private room- #912. She needs to hear from someone who knows what she is going through. I am with her every day but it's not the same. The surgeon has reassured her and told her that she is not experiencing anything unusual and that by tomorrow she'll feel 100% better. I'm holding him to that!!! Will let you all know of her progress- it's slow but she'll get there. Thanks for all of your prayers and emails to Tracey and me.

Hi everyone; This is an update on Tracey. I am her sister Glynn and wanted to let you all kow how she's doing post surgery. My apologies for not posting sooner- I tried! Maybe I was just too tired and screwed it up the night of her surgery...it was a long, long day! Thanks very much to Kimmy for being so persistant and caring. She never gave up trying to call- so much red tape in NYC; it's a wonder anything is accomplished. Tracey is not bouncing back as quickly as she'd hoped and is a bt frustrated. She was not permitted to have anything (not even ice chips) until 24 hours after surgery. 24-48 hours post-ice chips only. She had a lot of difficulty swallowing and choked on the little bit of water from the ice chips. Today she passed the 48 hour mark and was permitted clear liquids and apple sauce. She would not eat but for 3 tsp of the applesauce. Unfortunately she made the mistake of drinking water with the applesauce (all the literature warns against it) and it came right back up.I'm not trying to be gross- the "pouch" won't hold that much. She is still in a lot of pain but in good health and the surgeon says she's right on track. She thanks all of you for the card, your many emails , prayers and good wishes.I will update again toorrow on Traceys progress.
