I went in Dec 02 to Dalton, GA for a lapband.  Woke up in pain but I was told they didn't do it because they found tumors on my liver. Well I was self pay so it still cost me about $6,000 so I put it on the back burner to start saving again. The tumors are benign but can't be removed. Anyway fast forward to Sept 06 & of course I'm still battling my weight. Now they were doing the surgery here at home.  I had a great surgeon and was banded Nov 07. Started losing, but my fills never went right. Then they had to remove fluid for a month. When they finally put it back in I threw up for 2 days so they went back in & found out it had prolapsed and they fixed it (Jul 07). Had my first fill after surgery the first of Sept. Did ok for about 3 weeks then all of a sudden I couldn't eat & was in the most horrible pain. Went back in and it had slipped again so they removed it. So now I am looking into VSG and hope to have it soon. Stil struggling with self pay and trying to convince family and friends that going to Mexico isn't the craziest thing I have come up with.
