2/7/06- I'm on my way!!!!!!!I mailed my packet of info. to Susan Butler on 2/2, she got it 2/4 and sent to insurance 2/5 and got my approval today. Boy am I anxious.
2/8/06- Got consult with surgeon for 3/10. Go to class 3/7 to get input.
2/12/06- Got appt. with phyc. 3/3. Things are falling into place now.
2/23/06- Went to group support meeting to check things out.
3/7/06- Went to Pre-surgery class to give pro's & con's.
3/10/06- Saw Surgeon, had high bp so, ended going to reg. phys., got there was within normal range. I suspect it was all due to aprehension and nervousness.
3/13/06- Had MRI done on neck and head due to a pinched nerve and numbness.
3/16/06- Went to Dietician and everything went well- no reason to not have surgery. Have to go to Phyciatrist to handle depression issues. Have set that up for April 7th. Things are going well so far.
4/12/06- Everything is ok still. Went to phyc. really nice. I'll be to see again in a couple weeks. Still waiting to hear about insurance submission.
5/12/06- Still waiting to hear if insurance is filed. Getting real impatient. It's been over 3 months since I initially sent my packet. It just seems like forever and a day for everything to take place.
9/11/06- Got approved by insurance, only had to wait a week after Susan submitted paper work for them to give an answer.
9/22/06- Surgery date scheduled for Oct. 30. You got it the day before halloween. So much to do between now & then. Hope to write back before on the other side.
10/9/06- Getting into the nesting state now. Got out my winter clothing, so I would'nt have to mess with it later and am getting house re-organized. I'm so looking forward to having this surgery done. I've put it off for so long and the thought of it becoming a reality is just amazing for me (it's almost a giddy feeling). My sister had the surgery by Dr. Fernandez going on 2 1/2 yrs. ago and sh's lost over 130 lbs. and still losing. I can't wait to be right with her and all of you others that have gotten to the other side.
