"Very thorough and caring staff. I felt that they responded to every need that I had. I know that my husband was disappointed that they did not have one piece of equipment working (to increase/decrease pressure on feet to reduce risk on blood clots) the entire time I was there despite their efforts to change it out with different devices. I was not happy with being awakened every 2 hours the night after surgery, but that is in the best interest of the patient!"
"I had my initial consultation with Dr. Alexander in August of 2003. I found him to be very knowledgable and personable. I thought that he exuded a kind of excitement about the surgery and its possibitilies which was certainly contagious! I was not 100% sure what my decision was going to be until I came out of his office. Then, I knew I had to have it, no matter what! My husband had a bit of a hard time understanding his accent. Dr. Alexander's office staff was great--I can't imagine having to go to work and deal with people like me everyday!! What a pest!! Aftercare is somewhat of an afterthought, however. I do believe there is a support group that meets at or around his office, but it is pretty far from home for me. I was also a little anxious when I asked him about a written diet plan or recommendations for post-op and he replied, "Do not worry, you just eat what you can eat.""
