61/2 years.....

Jan 26, 2010

Can that be true? 61/2 years since surgery. Well, I am still very happy I had the surgery. There have a few things that are different over this past year. I have developed a gluten intolerance. I guess I do have to focus more than before on eating enough protein. I still try to eat out of a special bowel, it holds about 1 1/2 cups, or on a small plate. I still think everything I eat will "stretch" my pouch. I still weigh every morning. I have had a desk job for 3 years now and it has contributed to me gaining 5 pounds. I really need to either get more exeercise or get an active job. I still feel great and take my vitamins and drink a protein smoothie every morning for breakfast. I am very careful to drink 4 to 5 water bottles a day. I turned 40 back in October, so I guess a few changes might be related to my age..... Over all things have been great! I thank the Lord for that.

4 years out!

Aug 05, 2007

I am 4 years post op and loving it!!! I still thank the Lord for allowing me to have this surgery. I weigh from 128 to 135, depending on the time of month and if I get all my water and protein in each day. I still weigh every morning, take my vitamins, drink my water, and try to stay away from simple carbs.
I feel great most of the time and have lots of energy. This website has been a constant during my journey and I think it is a blessing for all of us who have gone through it and all who will!
Until next time,
Stephanie
