Pre admission testing , done!

Hi Everyone,
Well today I went for my preadmission testing, all went well, but what a long day, we were there from 7:15am-3:15pm Im so tired! All in all it was interesting, but a-lot of the stuff was stuff I had already read about, The only part I really had a problem with was the pulmonary function test, I took forever, the resp. therapist kept saying " I know you can give me better than that" but I finally was able to pass it, then after blood work, ekg, and meeting with the dieticians, I met with one of the doctors, that was when I got a little bummed, He said that I had gained weight since my consultation 4 months ago, which I knew but didn't think it was enough to matter, well it does so he said in order to still have my surgery on the 27th I need to do 2 weeks of Optifast to help shrink the liver, so I purchased it and start on Monday, wish me luck! , but hey what other option is there right? I'll be sure to update soon ....

Well I have my date I have my surgery on 3-27-07 I cant wait! so scared and so excited at the same time, I have preadmission testing on 3-9 it all seems so real now, well I just keep hoping and praying all goes well, thanks to everyone on here for your positive thoughts and well wishes your all so great,I'll be sure to keep you updated!

Well I got the call this morning they said my insurance approved the surgery I was amazed it only took 3 days, how awesome! so I guess now I just wait for a call from the hospital for a surgery date, and I have to attend a pre-op education class on Feb 14th, Ill update when I know more...Talk to ya all soon!

Im in the process of hopefully getting aprooved for the RNY Lap, gastric bypass surgery, Ive done all of the tedious paperwork, and MD supervised diets, and Psych evals, now its just up to my insurance company, im keeping my fingers crossed they will aproove me, I found this website from a friend who also had the surgery she said it would be helpful in answering my questions, and all of your posts have definately been very helpful and motivating, so to tell you a little about me, my name is Angie im 27 yrs old from ohio,I work in the health care industry, and i'm married and have a beautiful 8yr old daughter, thats one of my main reasons for having this surgery is to be able to give my daughter a mom who can run and play with her, and give my husband a wife who isn't tired after one flight of stairs, My husband isn't a huge advocate of the surgey but I think he's coming around,. same with my mother. I think they both see i'm never going to be happy with myself until I can finally be at a helathy weight, so hopefully with the help of this surgery and the support of other people all of you, who know what it's like, not to mention god watching over me, i'll finally reach my goals, I'll be sure to keep you all posted on my progress.
