New Year....New Things!
Jan 09, 2009
I wanted to share some new things which I'm experiencing being 200 pounds! My highest was 280 so I'm 80 pounds down!
1. I am excited that my legs stopped rubbing together.
2. I'm so happy that I don't sweat so easily and so much while doing nothing at all.
3. I'm enjoying all of the energy I have now to do simple things like walk from the parking lot to my desk.
4. i'm blushing when the men are checking me out when I walk pass.
5. I can't believe that I went dancing with my husband and lasted longer than one song!
6. It amazes me to see how nice I'm treated in comparision to being a big girl.
7. I want people to stop asking me how much do I weight.
8. I'm proud of myself for being open and honest when I'm asked what I did to loose weight. I have helped so many people and proven to many that RNY doesn't lead to you looking sick!
9. I can't believe how rude people are when they say to me, "You are so pretty now!". (as if a big girls can't be pretty)
10. I'm letting go of anything I can't change and I'm doing an inventory of foolishness and fools and they will be evicted from my life.
Almost There!

This was a wonderful Christmas season for me. I went shopping and I can fit a XL and/or L in a junior coat. I couldn't believe that there was not an X behind something that I wore on top of clothes. Thank you God!

6 WEEKS POST OP
Sep 27, 2008
WOW! So much has happened within these 6 weeks. I am happy to say that I currently weigh 235. So that is a little over 40 pounds. During this time I have gotten sick however I'm feeling much better. I can not stress the importance of seeking a therapist during this time of transistion. I consider myself to be a very strong woman. I have overcome a multitude of things in my life however this addiction to food is by far the worst! When your body no longer allows you to deal with stress by eating, you are forced to find different coping mechanisms. If you are not prepared for that, then you will find yourself in big trouble. Things that you may have not dealt with for years may fall on you like a ton of bricks because you no longer have your food for comfort. Everyone deals with things differently but I would suggest to anyone to learn new ways of coping with stress before, during, and after so your mind and spirit is healing along with your body.
18 DAYS POST OP
Aug 29, 2008
I have lost a total of 25 pounds. I now weight 255. I am feeling better each day. I noticed that the more I excercise the better I feel. I have begun to swim as well as walk around my community. I try to walk at least 30 minutes a day. I have begun to use the little weights while watching TV. I am completing 4 reps of 75 with the 3 pound weights. I don't want the bat wings. I can see the weight loss in my face, arms, and legs. It's hard getting the water down but I must drink more water. I'm getting in two bottles a day but have to sip all day long.
Why did I do that?

What is that SMELL?
Aug 22, 2008
I can't beleve what is happening to me. Now that I've been up and about I have noticed that I have a sensativity to the smell of different foods. I was in the mall and I passed the food court. Prior to this day, I coudn't pass without getting something. However, today I ran past because I became sick to my stomach. The foods I couldn't resist are now repulsive to me. I actually went to McDonald's and didn't get anything for myself. I wasn't tempting either. It actually smelled awful to me. Thank you Jesus!!
